This role is a direct result of the Company's increased focus on continuous productivity improvements, strategic sourcing and lean initiatives. Aepelbacher reports directly to TriMas President and CEO, David Wathen.
Aepelbacher will continue to work with the leaders of TriMas' various business units to better leverage buying power, increase productivity, diversify the supplier bases, share best practices and lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives. Additional priorities include: gaining broader penetration into emerging markets; developing import and export strategies; and building global relationships.

Aepelbacher brings over 25 years of experience in manufacturing and sourcing to the role. He was responsible for the launch of the TriMas Global Sourcing Organization in 2010 and previously served as the Vice President of Operations within Cequent Performance Products (CPP). Prior to joining TriMas in 2003, Aepelbacher worked as an Operations Manager for General Motors - Powertrain and General Manager and Vice President of Operations for ATC (an aftermarket automotive parts company based in Chicago, Illinois).
