BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TriMas Corporation (Nasdaq: TRS) - a diversified global manufacturer of engineered and applied products - today announced that its Rieke Packaging Systems unit has been awarded membership into the State of Indiana Department of Environmental Management's (IDEM) Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). Rieke manufactures highly-engineered closure and dispensing systems for a wide range of end markets, including industrial and consumer packaging applications. The recognized locations are located in Auburn and Hamilton, Indiana.
"Over the past several years, we have embraced continuous improvement objectives focused on reducing waste and protecting our environment," commented Lynn Brooks, President of Rieke Packaging Systems. "We are pleased that these efforts have been recognized by the State of Indiana's Department of Environment Management. I am proud of the recent accomplishments of the Rieke team and pleased with the progress we have made to date. These efforts not only reduce waste, but also save money and benefit the community."
To become an ESP member, a business must maintain an exemplary compliance record, certify that it has adopted and implemented an approved environmental management system, and commit to specific measures for continued improvement in its environmental performance.
