TriMas Corporation (NASDAQ: TRS) — a diversified global manufacturer of
engineered and applied products — announced today that Lamons, its
energy business, acquired the operating assets and ongoing business of
Tat Lee (Thailand) Ltd. on April 29, 2013. Located in the Rayong region
of Thailand, Tat Lee (Thailand) Ltd. is a manufacturer and distributor
of standard and specialty gaskets, providing superior technology for
refineries, petrochemical and power energy plants, and the manufacturing
industry.
"This acquisition enhances our capabilities throughout Southeast Asia,"
said Kurt Allen, president of Lamons. "Lamons will now have an
established branch in close proximity to two large global customers,
allowing us to increase our service to them."
Over the past several years, Lamons has opened sales and service
branches around the world to better serve its global customers. Lamons
further expanded its global footprint and product portfolio with the
acquisition of Wulfrun Specialised Fasteners Limited in the United
Kingdom in March 2013 and Brazil-based businesses Gasket Vedações
Técnicas Ltda in January 2013 and CIFAL Industrial e Comercial Ltda in
July 2012.
Lamons also recently established a new service branch in Vancouver,
Canada to even better serve its global customers. The business is now
approaching 30 global locations strategically located around the world
to ensure immediate delivery.
Lamons designs, manufactures and distributes industrial sealing products
and fasteners for the petroleum refining, petrochemical, oil field and
other industrial markets. These highly-engineered products are designed,
manufactured and stocked in close proximity to their refining and
